ALIGARH MUSLIM UNIVERSITY:
Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) is one of India’s largest central universities with an enrollment of more than 37,327 students. The university welcomes students from all states in India and from different countries, especially Africa, West Asia, and Southeast Asia. AMU has now 13 faculties comprising 117 teaching departments, 3 academies, and 21 centers and institutes. The university is quite popular for its residential character as most of the staff and students are residing on the campus. AMU offers more than 300 courses in the traditional and modern branches of education. Apart from the common courses like BA, BSc, etc., the university is also popular for its B.Tech and MBBS program. AMU conducts its own entrance exam (AMUEE) for admission to most of the courses. Candidates are required to appear for the NEET entrance examination for admission to AMU medical courses. AMU also offers distance education through its Centre For Distance And Online Education.

Master of Arts is a postgraduate programme in arts. MA can be pursued by students after completion of their bachelor’s degree. The degree is offered in various specialisations at various colleges and universities in India and abroad. It is a two years duration course and can be pursued by candidates who possess a graduation degree. The degree can be pursued as a full-time course, part-time course, correspondence or distance mode.
